The Square is a temporary, live conversation space.When you enter the Square, you choose:

  • A temporary name of up to 9 characters
  • One of seven available colours

When you send a message in the Square, the message, your chosen name, and your chosen colour are transmitted to the people currently connected to the Square.The Square is designed not to maintain a permanent conversation history.Only the latest 13 messages are displayed in the Square. Older messages disappear as new messages arrive.If there is no new activity in the Square for 9 minutes, the Square is cleared and the displayed conversation disappears.People who enter the Square later do not receive messages that were sent before they arrived.The Square does not provide user profiles, followers, likes, private messaging, conversation history, or an archive of Square conversations.You should not use the Square to share passwords, financial information, private contact information, sensitive personal information, or other information that you would not want other people to see.Although Square messages are designed to be temporary and are not intentionally archived by the Square, technical systems used to operate the Website may process technical information associated with connections to the service.
